Mein Schiff Herz Returns to Cruising, Set for Mediterrean Program

Picture
TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff Herz has officially returned to cruising on the past 3rd of April, after two entire years in cold lay-up anchored in Tenerife's bay.

The ship underwent a short maintenance period in Navantia, Cadiz, before returning to service and taking on her first passengers in 24 months, in Las Palmas. TUI opted for her first cruise to be a repositional one, beggining in the aforementioned Canary island and ending in Palma de Mallorca, in the Balearic islands, with calls in Tenerife, Funchal, Lisbon, Cadiz and Malaga in the meantime.

The Mein Schiff Herz is currently beeing set up for a greek program, which she will undertake after April 22, from Heraklion, with calls in various greek islands, Cyprus, Israel and Turkey, depending on the itinerary.

The ship will operate mediterrean programs from a variety of ports - not just Heraklion - until November 2022, when she will reposition back to the Canaries, for her final Winter Season under TUI, including cruises around the Atlantic archipelagos - Madeira, Azores, Cape Verde and Canaries, depending on the itinerary - and a special final New Years celebration for TUI, at Funchal, Madeira.

In 2023, Mein Schiff Herz will be transferred to Marella Cruises, and renamed Marella Voyager.
