Virgin Names Third Ship Resilient Lady; See Where It Will Sail

The Virgin Voyages team revealed the name of their third ship yesterday on its Ahoy! blog as a way of marking International Women's Day. It could be read "As we celebrate the strength and resilience of women in tandem with International Women’s day today, we thought it apt to announce the third ship in our fleet, Resilient Lady — a ship who represents so much more than we ever could have imagined."

The new ship will be called Resilient Lady and is set to sail on her maiden voyage in summer 2022. She will homeport in Piraeus (Athens) in Greece, and will offer seven-night itineraries to the Greek Islands, as well the Adriatic coast with destinations including the likes of Croatia and Montenegro.

Virgin launched their first ship Scarlet Lady last year but the innovative cruise ship hasn't had the chance to sail commercially yet due to the current global situation itself and the whole industry got caught in. The second ship will be named Valiant Lady, currently well advanced into her construction. Resilient Lady is to see it's construction start advancing soon at Fincantieri, with delivery currently predicted for the 1st of July, 2022.

Poderia ser lido "Ao celebrarmos a força e resiliência das mulheres em conjunto com o Dia Internacional da Mulher hoje, pensamos que seria adequado para anunciar o terceiro navio da nossa frota, Resilient Lady - um navio que representa muito mais do que jamais poderíamos ter imaginado."

O novo navio chamar-se-á então Resilient Lady e deverá zarpar na sua viagem inaugural no verão de 2022. Este terá como porto de origem Piraeus (Atenas), na Grécia, e oferecerá itinerários de sete noites para as ilhas gregas, bem como a costa do Adriático com destinos incluindo países como a Croácia e Montenegro.

A Virgin lançou o seu primeiro navio, Scarlet Lady, no ano passado, mas o navio de cruzeiros, inovador, ainda não teve a hipótese de navegar comercialmente devido à situação global atual na qual nos inserimos. O segundo navio chamar-se-á Valiant Lady, atualmente bem avançado na sua construção. O Resilient Lady deve ver a sua construção começar em breve em Fincantieri, tendo entrega prevista para 1 de julho de 2022.
